CALL FOR PAPERS
The editors of the journal Osteoarthritis and Cartilage announce a request for original research papers and reviews for a special themed issue addressing "Inflammation in Osteoarthritis" to span preclinical to clinical work.
Topics include, but are not limited to
Role of inflammation in OA pathogenesis
Variable inflammatory elements in animal models of OA
Contribution of inflammation to OA tissue damage
Crucial mediators and cells of inflammatory OA
Aging and inflammation
Subtypes of clinical OA
Biomechanical versus inflammatory OA
Efficacy of therapy and markers of inflammation - New ways for imaging Inflammation in OA
Submission, Review Process, and Timeline
Manuscripts should be submitted to the journal Osteoarthritis and Cartilage no later than December 1, 2014, using the journal’s online submission process. An accompanying cover letter should state that the manuscript is intended for the special issue on Inflammation in Osteoarthritis.
Manuscripts will undergo peer review, overseen by guest co-editors Wim B van den Berg, PhD, Francis Berenbaum, MD PhD, and Editor-in-Chief Stefan Lohmander, MD PhD
The planned publication date for this special theme issue is the middle of 2015.
