The OARSI Strategic Alliance Committee (SAC) and the Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Francisco Blanco as OARSI National Ambassador in Spain. Francisco J Blanco, MD, PhD, serves as Professor of Rheumatology at the University of A Coruña in Coruña Spain. A long-standing member of OARSI, he has previously served on the Board of Directors and in leadership for several OARSI committees. He spearheaded efforts to organize the joint SER-OARSI Symposium held in June, 2023 with the Spanish Society of Rheumatology and looks forward to organizing additional local programs with OARSI. He is excited to promote OARSI programs, including World Congress and online activities, to increase membership in this role as National Ambassador. He will be working with Francisco Castro Dominguez as early career investigator.
