Invitation letter

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee, we would like to invite you to the Pearl River International Forum On Bone & Joint Diseases 2020 and the 2nd Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) China Satellite Meeting, August-December, 2020, which will be conducted online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

OARSI is the premier international organization for scientists and healthcare professionals focused on the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis through the promotion and presentation of research, education and the worldwide dissemination of new knowledge. China, with leading population in the world, has the largest number of osteoarthritis patients worldwide. In 2018, we were privileged to successfully host the 1st OARSI China Satellite Meeting in Guangzhou, which brought more than 530 attendees across China and around the globe to discuss advances in clinical and basic research of bone and joint related diseases.

Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread travel restrictions globally, the 2nd OARSI China Satellite Meeting will be conducted online using video conferencing. Thanks to progress in information technology, experts from our OARSI community will be able to share the latest advances in clinical and basic research of bone and joint related diseases, and attendees from all around the world will be able to communicate with OARSI members as well as academic peers.

The forum will have 1 session every month starting from August to December 2020. The first 4 sessions will have two experts from different countries giving 1-hour online presentations, followed by Q & A. The last session in December will be featured with 6 presentations from speakers doing research in different areas in China. The online meeting room will be released 2 weeks before each session.

On behalf of the organizing and scientific committee, we promise this forum will leave you with unforgettable memories and sincerely looking forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes,

Prof Changhai Ding
