The main objective of this Symposium is to bring together OA researchers and Pain researchers, in order to facilitate a much-needed exchange between those two research areas and promote novel interdisciplinary collaborations. This will provide an unprecedented gathering of clinical investigators, translational researchers and basic scientists from the OA and Pain fields. Specific aims include:
1. Provide a platform for discussions on the hurdles that currently hamper OA pain research
2. Identify the most pressing gaps in OA pain research
3. Stimulate cross-disciplinary collaborations
4. Provide an opportunity for young researchers and clinicians from both the OA and the Pain field to interact with senior researchers and present and get cross-disciplinary feedback on their work
